Merge with layers below the current layer you are working with by tapping “Merge down” or merge all visible layers by tapping on “Merge visible.” If you want all layers to merge, regardless of visibility, tap “Flatten image. Find it by searching for Artstudio Pro on the Mac/iOS App Store. Turn text into an image by tapping on "Rasterize text." Rasterizing is required when you want to apply effects to text that you have written. You can duplicate a layer by tapping on "Duplicate." Choose "Flip" or "Rotate" to manipulate the canvas. Layer masks leave an image intact, so when you draw over a layer mask, you do not change anything about your image except the transparency of the space you draw over. In the classroom, teachers can use ArtStudio - Draw and Paint for a wide range of student learning experiences. A layer mask allows you to hide your image as you draw over it, effectively controlling the transparency of one layer over another. Some iPad art apps are dedicated painting apps, others are photo. Tap on “Layer” at the top of the screen and then tap “Add Mask” to create a layer mask.
With alpha off, you can draw as normal with alpha on, you draw only on pixels that already exist, which is useful for shading or coloring objects.
